Usually I go to bed on the rather late side (1-2 am) because I work the later shift. Some mornings though I get up at like 6-7 am and my stomach is churny/nauseas/upset, and it gets me worried, but I always manage to ride it out and fall back asleep like an hour later, and wake up several hours later again and am fine. This tends to happen at least 1-2 times a week, and has only been since I've gotten to bed later. I also every evening eat when I get home from work, and so I'm not sure if this is the culprit occassionally, but would it still affect me hours later? I never got this before. The odd thing is my husband gets like this most every morning (has for years now), and maybe its just rubbing off on me because I hear him talk about it? I'm not sure. Does anyone else get this?

If I get up early I feel like this and can't eat breakfast straight away. But if I don't get up until later I'm perfectly fine. Weird huh?

Well, I have never ever been able to eat anything in the mornings because of my IBS....but now I have started eating yogurt...but it's not until about 8:30 or 9:00 am. And I also take a prilosec around 6pm everyday to eliminate any excess acid in my stomach...actually i take one in the morning when i get up and in the evening...that's for my nausea/acid reflux.....along with the DA/IBS....and usually I am pretty good. I know for myself, if i hear others talk about their symptoms, I always tend to bring them on myself, and maybe you aren't doing that, but i just know how easy it is to fall into someone's routine...believe me, my husband and i always somehow have the same stuff It's quite funny sometimes, and then i have to smack myself back into reality. But try an antacid before bedtime and see if that helps any...Good luck..

If I eat before I go to bed, then wake up earlier than normal, I always feel
a little queasy. But, once I get up and going, I feel fine, and actually get
quite hungry. Must be something with the stage of digestion.

A while ago my sleep used to be disturbed, i used to go to bed at about 11/12, then i used to find myself waking up at 4/5am in the mroning so i was only getting a few hours sleep, and then my ibs used to hit at about 8am when i ate something like biscuits with tea. Then i used to go to sleep at 4am, and if i ever woke up at like 7/8am my stomach would always feel upset.
    TEA!! IS AMAZING!!
    indeed it is! :]
