Just when you think you're doing OK, something happens to prove you wrong! Two *v* experiences in 1 day is too much for me!

My husband and I went on a short trip last weekend. The first morning we went to eat breakfast at a nearby restaurant. After I got through eating, I went to the bathroom. I opened the door and this lady was standing in front of the first toilet stall with a paper towel. She looks at me and says "I'm sorry". So, I look down at the floor and there IT is! She apparently had a sick child because on my way out I heard a child gag. I got out of there sooo quick it wasn't even funny! I know she must have thought I was crazy but I didn't care. I immediately started shaking all over. I told my husband that I was going to sit out in the car because I was so anxious. I used my Purell wipes since I don't know what kind of germs were on the door handle!

After we ate, my husband decided he wanted to go to the local amusement park. So, I'm thinking I'll be brave and go and have a good time. We did have a good time and I thought every thing was going to be fine. Well, we were waiting on the trolley to take us back to our car and I look over in the corner beside a drink machine and there IT is again! OK--I've had enough--but I handled it pretty well and didn't get quite as anxious this time. I was even able to eat afterwards and I didn't let it ruin the rest of my trip.

I have to admit that I was pretty scared all weekend that I might catch something, but thankfully I didn't.

Well Jess, you know, us emets always notice these things, and tend to walk in on situations like that all the time...it happened to me one day too when me and my boys were going to eat at chic fil a one day and as we were walking in towards the bathroom there was a man with a mop saying oh this little girl got sick, and hey you can go on in....i said, huh, no way, and made a bee line out of that place as fast as i could.....i know it sucks to see that once in a daymuch less twice...it would have really probably ruined my day. Good job for staying at the park and having fun. I just hate when things like that happen, all though bless their hearts, they can't help it. It's good to hear from you Jess...i hope things are going good otherwise for you K

Good job for having fun anyway! I probably would have freaked out a little too, although I'm getting much better when it comes to seeing vomit. But it does suck when you are exposed to it twice in one day. I remember once(A while ago)I was at the mall and I went into one of the food shops and you had to pay up at the front and the one girl who was a clerk there was telling me that they didn't have a second clerk because she had gotten sick like ALL OVER the front counter and ran out of there. I mean I didn't see it or anything but did I eat there? You bet I didn't!

Im glad that you were able to have a good trip anyway. I think that us emets tend to hear and pick-up on things that most other people wouldnt give a second thought. Seems like its our luck that we are the ones who come up on stuff like this.

I hope everything else is going well in your life!!!!

Ugh!! Sorry you had to see this. I had an episode like this about 3 weeks ago. First, I went to take my son to daycare. They told me 'it' was going around so I left out of there fast. Went to my mom's house and I kept saying ok, just don't take him to school for 2-3 weeks, which I hadn't. My stepdad asked me to go to McDonald's for him. As I was waiting in the drive through line I noticed a car door open and a little girl just sitting there. Didn't think much of it because, to me, she looked perfectly fine. A minute later I heard coughing and seen her do 'it' all over the cement.Normally, I would have left out of there fast but I was already waiting in lunch hour line and I decided just to turm my music up so I couldn't hear her. I was so freaked out. Hearing of 'it' going around and actually seeing 'it' in th same day was to much for me. I went into my emet mode for the rest of the day reassuring myself that she was probably just sick because of the food. I hate it when this happens.

Wow! You are a champ, though. After the first experience I would have probably called it a day.
