Man its like 3am, and I am just drop dead tired, and want to sleep, but all of a sudden in bed I just got real nauseas feeling. Sometimes I get sick feeling when I'm tired like this, but don't feel like I'd actually do it, and once I get to sleep I'm okay. Ugh. Does anyone else get this?

ETA: Man this sucks. I hate waking up out of like a half sleep and just feeling real sick. Its a rotten shocker. I did go br (#2) so maybe that was part of it. Sometimes that can happen, but man it freaks me out! Edited by: Galadriel

    Hey daffodil!

You get the same thing? Urgh man I'm like afraid to try and go back to sleep. I feel a little better, but then I still get twinges of real nausea. Part of me thinks it was having to go br. Its weird but having to go br in the nite can do some really funky stuff. I just really hate the extreme nausea. Nausea has to be one of the worst feelings on the face of the planet.

Sorry you feel this way! You want to know how messed up my body can be at times? Some nights I will wake up from a dead sleep, spike a really high fever, be really nauseous, vomit once, and then head back to bed, only to be completely fine the next morning. It's completely bizarre!

I don't think you should be afraid of going to sleep- if anything, keeping yourself awake will make things worse! It is my experience that if I have to vomit, my body will wake itself up with ample time to make it to the bathroom. If you are overtired, sleeping it off is the only real way to get rid of this nasty nauseous feeling. Chances are, you will probably need a few extra hours and feel fine in the morning. The nausea you are experiencing is your body going "Listen up- I'm damned tired, get me back to bed!"

Hope you're in bed now and feeling better!

As for me.....it's 5:06am and I am still working on my ethics proposal for my thesis.....urgg.......it's going to be a long day methinks. It's been a few months since I have needed to pull an allnighter!

Oh man, Amber - I pulled one of those a few nights ago to finish a huge essay for uni! If it wasn't for the short black coffee I made myself at 2am,I wouldn't havesurvived it, lol!

Galadriel, I get the same thing whe I'm really tired. Sometimes it hits me just as a lie down, and that's when I panic! But you shouldn't worry, it's just your body's way of saying you're probably burning the candle at both ends, and you need rest. Being overtired is something I've suffered with alot - it can really make you feel icky. So, just relax, put on some soft music, get comfortable in bed with a bedside light on or something, and just read until you feel yourself dropping off - it always works for me.

Having to go to the loo in the night can easily make you panic, but you shouldn't ^__^ Just relax. You're fine!

Galadriel, I often feel that way when I haven't had enough sleep and am exhausted.

I usually lie down halfway, like on the couch, sitting, but with me feet up or lie down propped up in bed.

Try some deep breathing/relaxation and you should doze off really fast!

    Thank you for the replies!

Man Crimgoddess that sounds scary. Yeah our bodies can do really crazy things at night. I hope your paper comes out good! When working on a paper I could stay up till like 2am, but just could never pull an all nighter. My body like won't let me lol.

Yeah I eventually fell asleep on the couch at about 4am, and was out till like oh gezz heh 1pm! Today is one of my days off thankfully.

I think the nausea when tired is definately your body on overload and it demanding that you lay down!
