Well I posted a while ago about having this rash on my body.. I had suspicions that it was caused by my fake tan, but then other people suggested it may have been stress-related eczema or dermatitis(I had had a VERY bad week - my boyfriend cheated on me twice at a party we went to).

Well being the divvy that I am, I used the fake tan again on Tuesday - and I started itching like a crazy thing on Tuesday night, started on my chest. I now have this horrible red prickly rash all over my arms, stomach, chest, boobs and upper legs. I am NOT very impressed because I have used this product before (Ambre Solaire Sublime Bronze Mousse) and was very impressed and had no problems, so I bought another can of it. The 2nd can has now caused these reactions - could anyone explain why that might be? There is nothing on the can that says to do a test patch beforehand and it i'm sure it also says dermatologically tested.. so do I have a right to complain to them?

    Sorry just ranting!!!

if you want to use fake tan, i think the mositurisers are much better to use, they are much more suttle. you obiously have sensitive skin, so i would do a small skin test somewhere where it isnt going to show to see what will happen before smering it over your whole body! this will probally be a good idea for the fake tan product you last used, to see if it gives that little area a rash.

i wouldnt complain because they probally have a disclaimer on the back to say you have to test it on a small area first

I am going out of my mind and NOTHING i have tried so far seems to work - i've used Calamine lotion (worked temporarily), and Calendula, i've taken an anti-histamine with Loratadine.. Its SO prickly and itchy and hot i'm gonna end up scratching all my skin off!!! WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried Aloe Vera for the itching? - I have a plant that I use but you can buy Aloe Vera gel. Also I find Witch Doctor (witch hazel in gel form) is soothing when I have rashes.

I heard a milk bath does wonders for itching.
