Ihad it. 2 Sundays ago, I woke up after a Mommy's Night Out feeling not so good. I was lunchtime, so my bf and I drove to get some take out. I took a few bites, felt a little better but didn't want to push it. I wasn't hungry the rest of the day. Later that night, I warmed up the take out from earlier and ate it. Immediately I had awful stomach cramps and gas, and someone was in the bathroom! It was a horrible waitbut I survived, had bad d*. Then had it again. Woke up the next morning nauseous, crampy...anything I ate went right through and made me more nauseous. The third day I had to go to work, ate breakfast and more of the same thing. Felt bad all day, then everyone went out of town and I was left alone with my son. I was so scared I was going to start v*. Day 4, I heard a friend of my bf's saying hejust got overa week-long sv with nausea and d*. By this time I just had nausea, but the d* felt like it could resurface at any time. Finally, after 7 days, I felt better on Mother's Day.

I think I dealt with it well...still made myself get up and go to work, take Jackson to daycare, and care for him alone for the first time while sick. Now if I had been v* I probably wouldn't have done as well. Thank God it was only d*. Yay for me! I want a T-shirt that says "I survived the Week-Long sv", LOL.

geez hon, congratulations for making it through something like that!

i was going to say it sounded more like a small case of FP but if your bf's friend had it too, maybe it was just a mild bug.

    i'm glad you're okay!

What state are you in? I have felt s***ty since Friday. (the same symptoms you have described along with feeling like I have been beaten) I just want to take a nap.

My daughter also had diarrhea last night. Between the two of us last night it was pretty pathetic!

    Hello, neighbors!

This HAS to be a bug....weird that everyone is feeling the same sh**iness....I'm feeling a little better this evening and I hope that continues on into tomorrow... I can't take anymore of this. I wish my anxiety didn't make it ten times worse!

I'm in Cali, and I have heard somthing like this from a few friends. My best girlfriend has been ill since Monday with d* and n*, and today she was horribly weak. Now my boyfriend, who is never ill, has been feeling rundown and tired for days. Hop he isn't getting it too!!

Thinking more about this, I remember something similar to this happening to me years ago.

It was the first time I went to college and was living in the dorms. For about 10 days straight I had d* and low level n*. The n* only really hit when I thought about food, specifically whatever food I was eating, or, oddly enough, Cherry Koolaid. I didn't have an appetite at all those 10 days, but I was trying to eat because I didn't want to make myself sicker by not eating.

Strange part is this: No one else around me - not my friends, any one in my dorm, or my roommate got sick at all.

So I don't know how to explain it. I posted this in Q&A under Sage's thread of questions to ask her microbiologist son-in-law. I didn't think sv* lasted a week. I thought it was only a 24-48 hour thing.

For the past few days I've had almost d* everyday and n* and now I have a low grade fever. I do not need any bugs so I hope it's nothing!!!

Last week I took my daughter on wednesday night to some rides at the local shopping mall (mini-carnival). I went on one with her and looked back while we were spinning and got nauseous and dizzy and it lasted the rest of the night - i had to go to bed early - and then the next day i still didn't feel well most of the day. friday i was feeling a bit better but i was also really exhausted and then my husband didn't feel well after work - exhausted and just not great. we had some dinner and then went to a party but had to leave early because he was really feeling unwell, headachey, tired and kind of nauseous. we got home and both of us lay in bed until like 3 or 4 unable to sleep. not horribly nauseous but just our stomachs felt really bad, and we just couldn't sleep. both woke up still feeling not great but it passed by mid-afternoon.

figured we both had a bug or had eaten something off and then sunday morning our toddler had a little diarrhea and then i found out on tuesday that on monday afternoon, he'd thrown up at the babysitter's and had one diarrhea diaper and then was perfectly fine. like, fine. i didn't know this until tuesday, remember, and monday night he was totally normal. ate a big dinner, drank his bottle, slept through the night, woke up and ate breakfast. so i'm guessing it was a bug and because he threw up and we didn't, it passed through him way faster than it did for us.

    Been there, done that...

Its "going around" as we say here in the southwest too...I had it last week, felt awful for about 4 days. D*,N*, cramps...I didn't v* though (which I was also happy about). Some of the children around here had it for days on end too with v* as an added peice of fun. Also, a few friends of mine had the 24 hour version with d*,n*, and v* but ran its course quickly...Do you think that this is all the same bug?? and that people just react to it differently or do you guys think that it is several different bugs?? Its been going on for over a month and a half here now.

Yeah, right now I am freaking out too. Like 3 out of 7 of us here at work has had that. And, I mean these guys are coming in with it to the office. I am like, OMG! Please go home. But, they don't feel like they can afford to be away from this place, I guess. But, I have been washing my hands like crazy and I am just praying that I don't catch it. I am really careful aboutnottouching what they touch and I just want to go crazy with the Lysol but not everybody here stresses about this like I do. Can you catch a sv from breathing in the same air as the sick people? I have heard that a sv is not airbourne, but right now I need reassurance. Any body who knows the stats of this, please post. I am really stressing right now. Actually, I have been for the whole week.

Anyone have a fever too? Since late last night I've had a low grade fever - only 99.7-100.3. But I've been n* and had the trots for over a day now. Ugh. I feel awful.

It must be one bug traveling around. Many people seem to be getting the same symptoms....Kids, I think just v* much easier than adults and are a little less clean so they have a tendency to v* more when they get this kind of bug. It's so frustrating when these bugs go around....You wonder...When will it all end??

Sounds exactly what I had a few weeks ago that I kept trying to blame on
stress....I guess now that I am through with it, I'll call it a sv*. I only had
d* for about 24 hours, but had nooooooo appetite for 2 weeks. My kids
each had about 12 hours of yuck...my son v* once and had 2 bouts of d*
and my daughter just had a bout of d*. Crazy!!! The kids bounced back
    MUCH more quickly!

I hope that this all comes to an end for summer soon!!!!

I am so sick of this already!!!!! I am convinced that I already had it, but still afraid because it is still going around. (I already posted this, but I need help...) My coworker had both of her kids sick with it last week for about 5 days v* and d* on and off the entire time. That was last week and then today she tells me that her oldest v* again this morning and has an upset stomach!! Is this a bug that could last that long and go on and off like that?? I am freaking out!!
