(Sorry - I always think of more questions to ask!)

Just wondering what these anti-emetic drugs are that people are talking about? Can you buy them in the supermarket or chemist (and in the UK?)

Someone mentioned them stopping the v* centre in the brain and emptying the stomach - could be useful if worst comes to worst!

Other than that, sheer will power will have to do lol!

I'm in the US, so I don't know for sure, but I think you can get phenergan (promethazine) and Buccastem (stemetil) over the counter in the UK. Both of those work on the v* center. I think Motilium empties the stomach. There was a thread about anti emetics a while back, I'll see if I can find it for you. http://www.emetophobia.org/forum/for...sp?TID=6127&KW =antiemetics

    Hey,

yep we have anti emetics around here..

The two ive heard most about personally are motilium and phenegran, both you can get over here and yep in Scotland, what part of Scotland are you in?

Phenegran, that can make you sleepy and yes it does help alot to stop you from v*

Motilium can be used as an anti emetic as well 20mg is the recogmended doseage for n* and v* but 10mg can sometimes do the trick as well, I have also found that motilium can help with the spasams and bloated feeling in your lower bowel that comes with IBS, which is quite helpful when you are having an attack and feeling n* with pains.

    Hope this helps

    x
