Right, I know this sounds stupid because it seems like all emets know whats what but I was reading something on the Q&A page (someone was answering questions about viruses) and I just thought there was one virus/bug which you could catch that made you V* and D* (apart from food poisining) "stomach flu" but there seems to be many more. Whats Norovirus/ What other types are there? how do you catch them? do Anti-emets work on all of them or just some?

Also I was out tonight when suddenly my heart started racing and I felt the urge to escape, like a panic attack, I jave had panic attacks before but only when i've been wound up about V*, Is it just possible to start having them for no-reason.

    Hope someone can help,

    Thanks x x

They're all the same thing. It's just that the virus continually mutates. They've grouped them together and called them "Norwalk-like viruses" or "Noroviruses" for short. All the answers to your questions are on that thread, actually. (i.e., how you catch them, etc.)

There's one called Rotavirus, too. It usually breaks out in April - May, and I don't think it's quite as bad as the Norovirus. I had it in April of this year - I went to my ex-babysitter's house to pick up an invitation to a candle party she was hosting, where she told me her whole house had been ill with Rotavirus. I was nervous, but I stayed halfway out the door with the door open, and I thought I'd be okay if I didn't touch anything. Well, I forgot about the doorknob! I bit my nail when I got into the car to go home and immediately realized my mistake. Sure enough, 2 days later I was sick - I didn't v*, of course, but I was very, very n* for a long time. The n* went away eventually and then the fever and aches came, and let me tell you, I' d never had aches like it in my life. I couldn't move because my bones, skin, muscles hurt so badly - I kept having horrible shooting pains up and down my spine even just sitting still. The next day I felt well enough to go to work, but I was still very tired, feverish and dizzy. I felt n* a couple of times but by the end of the day I felt much better. After a good night's sleep that night I felt completely better in the morning.

Yeah, I think the Rotaviruscan make children have v* and d*, but in adults they tendto just get the d* part - few!

Yep, I had a bit of d*, maybe once - not even a lot at all! I was surprised, here I was thinking I was going to be so sick!

Yes that's true. Rotovirus tends to affect children mainly. Adults seem to be able to have an immune response to it that doesn't bother them too much.
