Okay so we were invited to a work related party at my bosses house (it was nice), and we made seafood salad to take (just with mayo and fake crab meat, celery, peppers) and it was sitting on the table for 2-3 hours in a cool room, no sunlight on it or anything, and we then after the party took the rest home and its in the fridge now. Should it still be okay to eat? My husband says its fine, but I thought I'd check with you guys first since I know you are all realknowledgeable and keep trackabout such matters! as long as it wasn't out in the sun i think it should be fine! apparently mayo doesn't spoil as easily as we think it does. my boyfriends old neighbors movedto arizona, where it's very very hot, and he says that they don't refrigerate their mayo!!! not even after it's opened! they say they've never ever gotten sick from it so they don't bother. so i think you're safe!!

Wow I wouldn't take that risk! Thats amazing that they haven't gotten sick yet from mayo. I did eat some of it, and I think your right its most likely okay.
