I have read every question and answer in this thread and have one
questions that hasn't been asked. Is someone with a SV contagious
before they are actually sick? If I was around someone at night
and the next morning they were sick- could I still get it?

Thanks for all your time and effort in answering all questions
asked, I never knew this site existed until I googled info
    about SV's.

Since Alvin's not around for a bit, I'll answer this one, cuz based on his other answers I think I know (lol)

Noroviruses are ONLY spread through the feces or vomitus of an infected person. So it could be that someone has ingested the virus, and is mounting an immune response, and perhaps they just feel a bit unwell or whatever, and you and they don't even know they have it. But whether they are like this, or showing symptoms like crazy, you still can't catch it unless you ingest (swallow) their fecal matter (since in your question, they're not vomiting)! So if you practice good hygeine by washing your hands before you EVER touch your nose, eyes or mouth, then you can't catch it from them - symptoms or no symptoms.
