I'm a bit of an idiot...have gone out and got drunk tonight with my Uni mates. Used to be really quick to get drunk so would know where I'm at but lately have become a bit heavyweight so I was drinking all night...have had 10 drinks in total including a cocktail and bits of other people's and it aonly started hitting me when I got home having demolished a pile of chips that belonged to someone else. Have been up for over an hour waiting for the dizzy feeling to go away and in that time have been to the toilet twice with slight d* which I'm not too worried about as alcohol often gets things moving(!) but am still feeling dizzy bloated, and very slightly n* but not too much. Have realised I have no peppermint tea, only raspberry and echinacea which is no good. Was wondering if anyone's got any ideas for soothing stomach before I attempt to go to bed? It's now 2.37am and I'd like to go to bed as I'm v.tired but also I'm still quiote drunk and dizzy and talking crap. my own fault for going on a pub crawl and drinking so much!!!! Stupid me!!!!

Try eating some bread or crackers. Something to soak up the alcohol. Good luck!

When I felt that way once, I ate a peanut butter sandwich, and it did the trick!! I felt fine soon after.

The best trick EVER - eat bread before bed. It rhymes, so its easy to remember. A bottle of water and two aspirin helps a lot too, but bread is the best trick I've ever tried. Also, stay up as late as you possibly can.

Can someone explain how bread helps? Surely the alcohol goes into your blood?

The best thing I can do when I've drunk too much and think I may feel ill is get some food down me, a sandwich and some crisps usually. Also drink plenty of water. I usually know when I'm going to feel reallyill as the room will be spinning (I really hate that) and if I go to bed when the room is moving, lol, it makes me feel way worse so I try and stay up for a whileno matter how tired I am.

Usually when you v* from alcohol some stays in your stomach. The bread basically "soaks" up the excess liquid. Food always helped me to. Having something other than just alcohol in your system always helps you feel better. Unless your at the point of no return.
