I've got a cold right now too, so I empathise!

Your normal temp should 37 degrees (98.6F), but some people run a bit
hotter or colder. Usually you can tell if you have a fever before you even
take your temperature - you feel very tired, achy, disconnected. And
you're HOT, but you get a chill very easily.

You'll be fine, though. Have you ever tried echineaca? I didn't have any
before this cold, but in the past when I've felt rubbish I would get a box
of little brown echineaca gels (Boots has them), and I'd take four of them
every few hours. I'd also drink gallons of tea and honey, and then I'd
sleep for as long as possible. It almost always works! If you can't get any
echineaca or manage the tea/honey, just rest as much as possible and
drink loads of water. Colds aren't fun, but they do come and go without
    much fuss.

And try not to worry about the meat - when I was small, my mother used
to feed me little bits of raw hamburger sprinkled with salt (I have no idea
why!). I never once got sick from it. I think if it were meat you'd left sitting
out in the sun for days and days, you might have cause to worry, but if it
was going back into the fridge? I think you'll be just fine. :-)

I just got over a cold, and though I never took my temperature, I'm almost positive I had a temperature the first day of my cold. I would feel shaky and cold, but warm at the same time.. its weird. I just took tylenol, and those feelings were gone in a few hours... but it is actually pretty common to get a slight temperature with a cold I've heard. so if your temperature is not quite "normal", that's fine. o yeah echineaca works very well to get over a cold, and so does this medicine called zicam, it's a natural medicine, they sell it at natural food stores. I hope you feel better soon
