I haven't heard from the magazine yet, I'm waiting for their call to read the story back to me, then I have to okay it, and then they'll go ahead and print it! I'll let you all know once i've heard from them and know which issue its going to be in! [img]smileys/smilies_02.gif[/img]

I am supposed to be appearing in Reveal magazine but they have really messed me about. I have spent hours of my time giving them information and having photos taken by their arrogant photographer but that was all back in January/february and they still haven't printed the article.

I was in an article in Sneak Maazine in 2004 I think after I wrote to complain that the advice they gave to an emetophobic who wrote in to them was pretty pathetic and they asked me to tell them more about it. In the end they completely warped it and made it all about my love life! Make sure you have a good idea of what they plan to put in the article before they do it.

Hey guys,


My article is all about Emetophobia and how it affects sufferers lives. It is about my specific situation but they said they would put a Fact or Info box with the article too, so that people who read it can understand more about it, and if they think they have it they will know where to go for help. I decided to write it because I've noticed on this site (and know from my own experience) that EVERYONE who joins as a new member says the same thing - that 1) they wish they had known earlier that other people have it too, and 2) that it has a name.


So i'm hoping thatpublicising itwill help others out there. I've also asked them to put the webaddress forthis site in the article, so that they can come here for support. I haven't heard from the journalist yet so not sure when its going in - I hope they don't mess me around too much!!


Thanks for the advice Hannah - I wascareful not to mention too much about my partner or my relationship - just mentioned how it affects it, and thats all. They haven't asked anything else about it so far so hopefully it stays that way!

Ok an update on my article - the magazine called me this morning to ask when a photographer can come and take my picture (waahhh!!!) so we've arranged it for 11.15am on Monday morning. They have also asked for baby pics of me (relevant to Emet how??) and also pics of my boyfriend and I (relevant to Emet even more how???)


I told them it would take at least a week to get baby pics sent from SA(as my parents did not have a digital camera when i was a baby in 1980's, they cannot just e-mail one over, lol) so he said thats ok, it wasn't going to be in the next edition of the mag anyway.


So I'm not sure how often 'New' magazine is published but I guess it will be one of the issue's out either at the end of July or early August..


All i have to do now is make sure I don't have a sudden breakout of spots or some debilitating skin affliction on Monday morning... [img]smileys/smilies_11.gif[/img]

I have no idea what the pictures of your bf thing is about either but in my article they had a pictur of me when I was about 4 and a caption saying "Hannah before the fear began" or something. Maybe thats what they're after?
