OK so i know that picking a childs name is one of the hardest things to do...i am trying to choose my unborn daughters name soon!! although being that mommy and daddy have to agree on it is very diffucult!! LOL im stressing so bad and im not sure why because i have 4 months to go ?? i know that it is obviously our decision of course, but i really love getting peoples opinions on baby names!! Here are some of our picks so far...Mommy currently likes Aiyana, Madison, Ava, and Jasmine...Daddy likes Alexandra, Isabella, and Rylie...hmmm...what to do?? i would love any ideas!! Are there any names of his that you kinda like or any names of your that he kinda likes? I like Aiyana myself.. Very pretty. How about mixing it up and using one of your names for the first name and one of his for the middle. For instance, I really like Aiyana Rylie...

aiyana is a beautiful name! and shiva has a good idea, maybe one of you can pick the first name and the other can pick the middle name... and then switch if you decide to have another baby! i love the name ava too..victoria, julia, ava, and gabrielle are my four favorite girls names..they aren't very unique but still pretty. i vote for aiyana though!

My two names that I have picked out (JUST IN CASE - I don't even know if I want kids) are Jocelyn and Lucas.
.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

For a girl I have picked Kyle, Louie, Digby,orScout- for a boy Lennon, Gulliver,or Oscar. Unfortunately, Chris is hell bent on Haley and Mackenzie for a girl...which, don't get me wrong, are "nice", but a bit too popular for me at the moment. I have a natural dislike for girlie names, so if we ever have a girl its going to be an interesting compromise/discussion/argument, lol. Thank god we will still have a few years to go over this, I'm not planning on popping out a kid anytime soon.

My advice is for both of you to make a list of names you both like, eliminate those that the other can't stand, and then decide using that listonce yousee the kid. You mayfind that a few of the names will work- or that none of them suit her.

I love Aiyana and Alexandra. Both very pretty. I like girly names. My girl's names are Claudia Marie and Mariella Grace. With Claudia, it was one of the only names we could agree on, and with Mariella, we agreed that if it was a girl, I got to pick the name, and if it was a boy, he got to pick.
I also love the names
-Gabrielle/Gabriella
-Ellery/Eleri
-Kayleigh
-Lucinda
-Melissa
-Amalia (my great grandmother's name)
Have fun with the naming! I know it can be stressful, but can also be fun.

thank you all so much...i really like aiyana too!! ava was my 2nd and brandon actually kind of likes that one too!! we actually did have the agreement if it was a girl i would get to choose and if it was a boy he would choose, but when we found out it was a girl he "suddenly forgot" that deal..LOL...i think that we will do a combo of the first and middle, thats a great idea..although we may have to use his grandma's name for the middle to carry on the tradition, which is Suzanna (which im not to fond of and doesnt really go with the names i chose, but its something i want to do for brandon, if he wants) so if thats the case i get to choose the first name!! i know we dont have to rush, and i am a little paranoid that we will pick it and then closer to my due date we will want to change it and have to start back over!! i hope thats not the case though!! thank a bunch!! keep em coming!! I have to go with Alexandra. It's very sophisticated and just a beautiful, classic name.

We have names picked out for our future kids. For a girl, Brooklyn Soleil and for a boy, Noah Rainn.

Here's an interesting story. I was SURE I was having aboy with our third. So we picked out Alexander after my brother & dad (both their middle names). THEN I had a girl in the delivery room and we were stumped. We didn't want to call her Alexandra/Alexandria cuz we didn't want her nicknamed "Alex" because our friends had a stupid dog named Alex that they talked about like it was a kid. So we called her Elizabeth Alexandria, and she was nicknamed "Liz" and "Lizzy" . THEN when she was 12 she announced that she wanted to change her name to ALEX (her middle name) cuz she hated 'Lizzie'. She's been "Alex" ever since - she's 21 now and it SOOOOOOOO suits her. She's totally an Alex and has been all along, I guess. Destiny? And the stupid dog is long gone and so are the friends anyway!

So ya - she's Alexandria. And she's beautiful and funny and very elegant and sophisticated. She's not a bit fat, but has a huge frame and is very athletic- and easily carries 160 pounds. So she's a "powerful" woman in a lot of ways - and Alexandria means powerful or "defender" (like Alexander the Great)

Good luck with your baby name picking - what fun!

I personally hate my real name cause I was named after my grandma, who I never met, and also I got made fun of for it, most importantly NO ONE had my name growing up and it sucked. So I changed my name to Monica...LoL. Of course my parents and sisters still call me by my original name but all my friends call me Monica.

My sister (Elizabeth) was going to be named David if she was a boy, same thing with my sister Laura. But I think that if you have a girl then you should be able to name it whatever you want and when you have a boy he gets to name it...LoL at least that's my rule for having a kid. I really like Aiyana though, never heard it before but it's very pretty. I also like the name Daveigh, I only know of one person who has it and she's awesome!

I think Ava is a lovely name. I also like Alexandra and Rylie. We both work in school so we are having HUGE problems choosing names as you get so easily put off by people you know with that name. Luckily we have got another 5 1/2 months to think of some.

Do you like these names for a particular reason,.....like are you into the meaning of names?,.....With my first daughter,...I wrote letters to her for 5 years in my journal,...as we had problems getting pregnant,...and I said I would never give up Hope,...and thats what I named her,...Hope Gabrielle (which is devoted to God)

My second girl is Josie Sinclair,......Josie meaning full of wisdom and Sinclair meaning prayer,....if she prays her whole life she will have Godly wisdom....smiling

Im not sure, but I think the name Cameron means crooked nose?

I think Jasmine is a really pretty name! I think whatever you choose, just remember that your child will have to live with it for a long time - i sometimes think it's cruel to give very off the wall names, kids can be very very cruel at times and you don't want to expose them to any derision unnecessarily. I thnk all your choices are nice though!

Remember when you're thinking of names to sound it out along with your child's surname - some names justdon't go together. I knew a kid called Duane - not that bad I guess, but his surname was Pipe! Who calls a kid Duane Pipe? And of course, there was Richard Head - sounds Ok until you shorten the Richard to Dick! Poor kid eh?

BTW, my son is Samuel and my daughter is Libby - pretty ordinary I know, lol!!

What about the couple who called their son Drew Peacock. It was in the sun newspaper last year because when they tried to google the name to see if anyone else had it, it said do you mean Droopy C***? Poor little thing!

Also a friend was telling me her friend had a baby boy and called him Charlie. Lovely name but their surname is Hicken - C.Hicken!

My friend in college ALWAYS wanted a boy named Cole. Which is fine and dandy but she married Andrew Ash.

I love the whole "baby name" thing! It's so fun to hear what everyone's planning on naming their little ones. I agree with Shiva, between the two of you there are some really lovely name combinations and that way, neither one of you would lose out! I have always loved the names Madison and Isabella and I also really love Ava and Alexandra... you both have some really pretty options to make this work :O)

I have already chosen names for my future children and my future husband will just have to get over it since clearly I'll be the one giving birth *wink*!
hehe... no I love my names, but I'm sure I'll have to compromise... here are mine,

For girls
Emerson Grace (Emma Grace for short)
Katheryn Isabella

For Boys
Matthew Hayden
JamesLiam

Good Luck!

These are all gorgeous names....and my middle name is Emerson, Rachel...that's wild that you said that...i have never heard but one other person with that name.....In fact i wish i would have named one of my sons Emerson, but i was named after my great uncle believe it or not. My youngest son's middle name is Cole...i think someone else mentioned that name too...but anyway i was thinking i really like Bella for a girl...which is short for Isabella and that's nice. I love Ava and Alia too. These are all good names on here..Good luck picking. My boys are Brandon and Nathan....quite common, but i like them
