I couldn't really think of a title, so i hope it covers it. Well im still eating, but this morning i had a small yogurt insted of a bowl of cereal, and relised my body acctuly started to feel hungry and want food, which it hasn't for age's, then i had my lunch, which was another pb and jam sandwhich, i was going to have something else like in the afternoon as i hadn't eaten as much as i had been, which i really needed to keep up, but anyway (sorry if this is tmi) i hadn't been able to go to the bathroom for about a 5 days, and today my stomach started to hurt, i mean i was fine this morning and hungry, but in the afternoon i needed to go to the bathroom and it was d*, which i was half and half expecting as my body is trying to get used to food again and my stomach has been around with so much, will sipping lemonade settle my stomach, i went to asda and got a pack of 12 small bottles, so do i need to let it go flat before drinking it? i had some toast this afternoon with a bit of jam on, but since i had the d* my body has been so hungry, so it must be getting used to getting this food. I asked my mum if on thursday we can go out and get some lunch from the shopping centre, like a challenge lol, for me to eat a sandwhich from a cafe, also her birthdays on saturday and she's asked me to go with her and her friends, so that should be another task lol. Do you think i should keep eating if i have d*?, though im sure its from my body getting used to the food, i have contacted the doctor this morning and he told me to eat foods like sandwhichs and cereals to begin with, but no meat or to much dairy. Maybe having things like rice tomorrow and a banana, and keep drinking water to prevent dyhdration, thanks if anyone could give advice about the lemonade.

    Hey Roofus,

I'm so glad you're sticking with this eating thing.. it sounds like you're coping with it really well too!!

I'm not too sure about the lemonade.. I think if you keep it fizzy it might help you burp a bit and get rid of any excess gas you may have.. and i've never had flat lemonade to settle my stomach so couldn't say if its better for you..

Otherwise just try eating a banana or probiotic yoghurt or drinking some peppermint/ginger tea to settle it..

I'm sure you'll be fine to eat even if you are having D*, the fact that you are hungry is great and a sign that there's probably nothing wrong!

Hey, thanks for the reply!. Yeah, i've got some peppermint chewing gum, i've put some lemonade also in the fridge, maybe just to sip on later and see if that does help. I asked the doctor at my mums work as she's working tonight about the d* and he said its my stomach getting used to the food, it may feel a bit off, so i need to keep drinking lots of fluids, but stick to the eating bland foods so its easy on my stomach, but keeping me full, so the same things like toast, cereals, rice and things, also banana's as there good to have when you have d*. Thanks for the advice and support.

LoL that's weird, cause here if you want fizzy lemonade it's probably a WHOLE different concept then what you are talking about. I love Lemonade and Fizzy Lemonade but I hate sprite and 7up! I'll stick with gingerale

Hi roofus i've been away for a while and its great to come back and see that you are eating again, i had the same problem as you when i started eating again, the trick is to take it very slowly on your digestion, you are going great guns by eating the things you are, they are spot on to start you back into the eating habit, from experience though introduce newfoods very slowly. Flat lemonade is great if you have a bit of nausea but only the one with sugar in it. Be careful not to drink or eat too much stuff that has sweeteners in it (including chewing gum) as itmay give you the trots!

    take care and well done!

Hey thank you. Thanks for the advice, i've relised i need to take having dairy foods slower, it seems that margarine is still alittle to much for me, so im trying not to have so much dairy, but start to introduce that slowly. Yeah the lemonade has also been helping, thanks for the support.
