and she is suffering badly from morning sickness. She gets sick about 7 times a day. The doctor told her to make sure she eats about every 2 hours so that the acid in her stomach doesn't get to be to much, however, she refuses to do that because she just v*. I've tried to explain to her that if she just had some crackers to absorb the acid she would feel better. She is walking around work green as can be and the sympathy factor is running out because she refuses to help herself. I've never been pregnant before but I was n* & v* for 8 months due to a bacterial intestional infection, so I know what its like, but at least she knows what's causing her v*. For all the moms out there, do you have any suggestions for her? She refuses to take tums to help relieve some of the gas, she refuses to use the sea bands for the wrist because her mother told her it was dangerous, I feel bad for her andam hoping this passes soon. She is almost at her 15th week so the doctor told her if she was still like this when she hits the 16th week shecould be put on medication to stop the v*. Thanks in advance for thesuggestions!!

Well, i don't have any experience in that dept...i never had morning sickness so i guess i was lucky in that dept...but i had a co worker that had it sooooooooooo bad....i mean, she was pitiful. I don't think she did anything except like you said, kept something in her stomach at all times, or it would be worse...i remember her eating lunch, and then go ving....and then eating again....it's just diff. than when you have a sv i suppose. Any kind of sick is bad, but sv would be the worse i think. I hope your friend gets over it soon. Bless her heart...i can't imagine going through that. Thank goodness it didn't happen to me either time or i would have died for sure. If she doesn't want to help herself though, there isn't much you can do.

She is downright pitiful. Several other mom's in the office have explained how they had it and that keeping something in your stomach at all times is the only way to beat it. I just wish she would listen. We are all taking very fast potty breaks because we don't want to get caught in the bathroom when she has to v* (I've already gotten caught twice). Thanks for the response Kate.

No problem Babygap...i remember my coworker, she would just get this look, and i knew it was getting ready to happen...it was so sadand i just felt so bad for her. I finally did get used to knowing it was going to happen, and even when i could hear her, i was ok, b/c i knew she was preg. and i actually felt really sorry for her....so for me it all depends on the situation of it for me.....just keep trying to tell her to eat crackers or something.

Ok I can probably help...gosh I feel so bad for her. It is an awful feeling. I am 23 weeks pregnant and this is what I did. She does need to eat...I know that must be soooo difficult but it really makes a difference. Have her try some ginger ale. Also ask her about taking vitamin B6 and Unisom...that is perscribed by MANY doctors to help nausea. The B6 alone does wonders. Also if she can suck on some lemon or carry around something scented with lemon as it is supposed to help. Phennogran is VERY helpful as well....it is safe to take too. Most women however that are that sick should really be on Zofran!! She needs to ask her doctor about that. Hope this helps some..

Wow! I can't believe that she is so reluctant to help herself in any way.
