New here & need advice!

Hi everyone


I am new on this forum - I got told about it yesterday by a fellow emet - I use the gut reaction forum and emetonline but never knew of this one!


Anyway - hello to everyone and I hope you are all doing ok. Please anyone give me their thoughts and opinions on a dilemma I am having! Here goes the story:


On Sunday, we spent the day at my boyfriends Aunts and his sister and her family were also there (hubby and 3 kids). After an hour of arriving, I learnt that the eldest son had been throwing up all night Friday, right up till 8pm on Saturday and here I was on Sunday surrounded by him. I later then found out the parents had it first on the Monday night, the baby on Wednesday and then him on Friday/Saturday. We were outside all day; I made sure I got to the food first, and I washed my hands after using the loo (which I managed to limit to one visit in 9 hours!). What do you think my chances are of catching anything???? I have had just 8 hours sleep in the past 2 nights because I have woken up and freaked out I have got the bug. I had diahorrea once last night which caused me horrendous panic but then have been fine today. BUT, it gets worse- his sisters family (the germ family as I am calling them at the moment!) were round another family members house on Saturday evening (obviously, the boy only just stopped throwing up when he was there) and someone who lives in that house who ALSO works where my boyfriend works, has today come down with it!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that made sense??! My boyfriend is trying to deny that this person went home sick but I know when he's lying and he clearly was/is. This makes me think this is quite a strong bug - do you think I/we are at risk???? I am hardly eating or sleeping which isn't good for my immune system to fight anything off if it should come my way!!!!!!!!


Please help with opinions! I know this has been my first post and I apologise its soooo long! But help would be sooooo much appreciated.

I should hope you will be fine. Bugs usually hit fast right? Since you washed your hands and did nto rub your eyes or or face you should be ok. If it had been more that 24 hours I think you are in the clear from that illness! Let us know how you do!
