I have emetophobia and have done for as long as I can remember. I am not even sure where or how it started just know that it has always been there. I find it life altering, avoid going certain places, doing certain things, eating certain foods, it is infuriating and horrible, but there is nothing I can do about it. People that I tell about it do not understand, they do not get how it can be a phobia and I quote "No one likes throwing up". The understanding only really starts when they have witnessed a panic attack for themselves... usually by them pretending that they are going to throw up (they never do it again!).
I've always wanted somewhere that I can vent my frustrations and worries and confide in people that go through the same thing I do day in and day out. It is a comfort that there are other people out there like me and I am looking forward to chatting with you. :)
