    Re: Height and Weight

I'm 6' (I'm male). I'm currently at 134 lbs, up from 113 lbs two months ago.

I don't have an eating disorder as such, but I've had severe nausea since June 2011 so eating has been really hard....
  2. Re: Question for those who have had a proper *sv

I got the norovirus in 2009. It was completely out of the blue. I got the waves of nausea, ran to the bathroom was vomiting within a minute. What followed was a very rough night. However, all other...

    Poll: Re: USA election

So so happy today, a fantastic president and a fantastic man. :)

Makes the stomach virus and vomiting I have today a little more tolerable!

    Re: is this extreme?

Actually, plain old water would be just as good as disinfectant for washing food. It's just like handwashing being recommended in preventing transmission of viruses and bacteria: you're washing them...

    Re: is this extreme?

Yeah, definitely avoid using bleach on food again. That's much more likely to make you vomit than any bacteria or viruses on an apple.

    Poll: Re: USA election

I'm not American but I wish I was, just so that I can vote for Obama, one of the best presidents you've ever had. Romney and Ryan are despicable people.

    Re: other fears?

The Philosopher's Stone... That's okay, I've seen it and can deal with it. I'm okay with vomiting in films and on TV. :) Not that I'd want a slug anywhere near my mouth, oh no no no.

    Re: other fears?

I absolutely love spiders! Two people I never want to spend time with: serial killers and people who squash spiders.

I hate slugs. I wouldn't say I fear them but the sight of them slithering...

    Re: UK

Yeah, Scotland to stay or Wales is even more alone! ;)

I'm from and in Cardiff at the moment.

Only more Americans than British on IES.
  10. Re: a rant about dirty habits in this country

    I'm with you on that.

We may disagree on the Justin Bieber thing, but I cringe when I notice people disregarding basic hygiene. Hand washing is perhaps the most important part of personal hygiene,...
  11. Re: Tonight's News May Be Triggering... Beiber Sick During Show

Am I the only one who watched the video and barely reacted? I didn't find it graphic, it wasn't very clear and I just thought "meh" and went back to eating my noodles. Guess I'm making progress with...

    Re: Smoked Salmon

Probably! Smoked salmon is actually one of the safer seafoods because it's cured, smoked and then vacuum-packed which helps to preserve it. Even when opened, as long as it was kept in its packaging...

Re: When was the last time you had a sv*?

I had what I think was food poisoning just two months ago, but the last time I had a virus was on the evening of March 27th 2009 and it was definitely noro. I remember everything about it, from the...

Yum, I love smoked salmon on bruschetta and sprinkled with black pepper.

As for how long it keeps, doesn't it say on the packaging? Most food has stuff like "once opened eat within two days"...

    Re: Drank milk with CHUNKS

You said it looked fine, tasted good and didn't expire until next month, and that's a very good sign because milk is one of those things where it's very easy to tell if it's bad or not. Was it full...

    Re: Music videos with v*

It's here. Watch from 4:00. Nothing graphic, promise!

I don't like Rihanna, not my kind of music, but We Found Love and the video are pretty good.

    Re: Music videos with v*

Rihanna's We Found Love, but I don't think it counts because she vomits ribbons.

Wouldn't it be great if we vomited ribbons instead? Goodbye phobia. :D

    Re: Very depressed.

I think it's important to tell your mom that this is so much more than OCD. It's a phobia and it's destroying your quality of life.

If it's become so bad that you're feeling suicidal and harming...

Re: Differences in Season Effecting your Fear

It rarely gets really hot here in the UK - rarely above 28C (82F) so I don't often have to worry about heat much, but I'm still much happier in the winter. For some reason I feel safe in the cold and...
  22. Re: Worrying news: phobic anxiety may increase risk of cancer

The Daily Mail is an awful newspaper, always full of negative stories which seem like they were written only to make the reader depressed, bitter, pessimistic, angry, hateful or anxious.

    And they...
