  1. Re: What caused YOU to have emetophobia (don't answer if uncomfortable)?

Oddly enough, my first memories of showing any signs emetophobia was when I was around 8ish.
It was a MR Bean movie, he was on a plane, blowing up bags, and popping them, once scene, a child is sick...

I thought I was getting better

It's been a long time since I've needed to come here for support.

Early last year, I got myself a cleaning job at a nursing home, something that appeared to have helped my emetophobia, although I...
  3. Re: What would you do if you didn't have emetophobia?

Go traveling, like backpacking across Europe or something.
I mean, money would probably still be an issue, but holding a job down would be easier without constant panicking.

    Also, I'd just go out...
  4. My whole house got norro last week, am I in the clear?

I've been kinda panicking a bit the last two weeks.
First my sister v*d last Monday morning, then just as we were starting to think it wasn't noro, my mum got it last Thursday evening, my youngest...

    Re: Younger or older?

Honestly I can't pinpoint the exact moment it started, it was like one moment I was fine with V* and the next I wasn't
I know I was quite young when it started getting bad but it wasn't until I was...

    Out of date milk :(

This morning, I made breakfast without paying attention to the milk bottle, so I made the bowl of cereal and the milk tasted a bit off,but not sour, I thought it was fine and stupidly ate it anyway,...
  7. Re: How long are everyone's non vomiting streaks?

Longest streak was from just after Christmas 2007 to around this time last year, not bad.

  9. Re: Needing advice for a long (20hr) bus trip?

An idea would be to load up your phone/ipod with lot's of music/tv shows and stick some earpods in and block out the outside world.
Though 20 hours, I can't imagine a bus trip that long, the 45...

Re: Too muck black tea, help!

I don't think tea has much caffeine in it anyway, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Tea actually seems to help with nausea for me, well tea seems to solve all lifes problems :)
  11. Re: Qantas flight from hell (from the Daily Mail)

Trust the Mail to blow the story out of proportion -_-
Mind you, the idea of being on a 14 hour flight with people v*ing left, right and center kinda puts me off the idea of being a travel rep lol
  12. Re: If there ever was a noro vaccine, how would we manage to get the vaccination?

I could kill for a noro vaccine though probably not if it's an injection, I hate needles nearly as much as v*ing lol
  13. Re: If you didn't have emetophobia how would your life be different?

I was thinking about this the other day, it was kinda depressing really lol.
But without the phobia I would have passed my GCSE's for a start, and not have such awful social skills meaning I would...

  19. Re: whats the most drunk youvw ever been?/or worst hungover

I suppose one good thing about being emet for since childhood is that I have never really risked drinking too much, which is possibly a good thing considering drinking isn't really that healthy...
