I never was afraid to v* myself...just others, so yah, kids for me has been "traumatic"
Those thoughts were definitely in my mind too! And my hubby thinks my phobia has defintely gotten worse lately. Pretty sure I need therapy soon too.
Congrats on #2! I just had my second (and final!) in April. She's almost 9 months now. We don't get date nights often, but I have a wonderful mother-in-law who keeps my son for a week at a time...
Not me....I'm too busy looking around at everyone, making sure no one looks sick..all the while wondering who is gonna be sick and who might contaminate us. I'm constantly looking for someone to rub...
I wish I was normal too! LOL. Of course, that's a long shot..for lots of other reasons....HA!
I was really traumatized from my son's last SV (which was last Feb). I still remember the date, the...
I don't handle it well. In fact, I was a mess!! Grwoing up, my family had the SV all the time (I'm wondering if it was my mom's cooking....HA!). I use a TON of Lysol, Clorox Wipes and hand sanitizer....
Unfortunately, YES! My son was home w/ my mom for the first 15 mon and didn't get sick at all. The first year he was in daycare, my husband missed 12 days of work (because my son brought stuff...
And I hate that my kids are in daycare! It's a freakin' germ fest there!
I do the same thing!! And my husband too! He's like, "really? You're still thinking about that?!". Um, YEAH, aren't you?! HAHA! My hands are sooooo dry from all the washing!
Oh honey...I'm right there w/ you. Over Christmas break, both of my kiddos had the sv. Then I got it. Fortunately, my mother-in-law was there and she took care of them. I couldn't. And I hate it. I...
I do the same thing! Not that I like to v* or anything, but I handle that much better than when others do, especially my kids. And, like you said, you know you're washing your hands and such, but...
Yep, add me to the list! Especially the saw dust mentioned earlier or the pink powder they used on amusement park rides. OMG, that just reminded me of my dream last night. Weird. I haven't seen...
I do the same thing. My daughter is home sick w/ a *sv as we speak and I'm trying to keep from calling home every 5 min to ask how she is. Terrified everyone else will get it. Can't get enough...
That is SO me! HAHA!
There have been nights when I was so anxious (because it was night) that I could not wind down enough to go to sleep. When I told my hubby that my head was just swimming with "stuff", he suggested...
I'm so sorry that you're having such a tough time....and at exam time, no less. I don't really have much advice as I'm new to all of this (well, I've had it for years, but new to the whole "knowing...
Ahhh, ok....thanks!
I'm new here too. For me, it was extremely helpful to just know that I'm not the only one that feels this way. I have 2 kids and they are pretty much the biggest trigger for me...since kiddos get...
I work in an outpatient clinic, doing diet education. I'm a dietitian. But I do have to go up on the floors sometimes....and lemme tell ya....if I see one of those basins they give you when you're...
I SO completely understand your fear of your boyfriend coming home drunk. My ex-husband got really drunk one night and he was v*. I HAD to get away from him. I slept in the other room, but was...
I can't seem to figure out how to get my avatar on here. I've gone under my profile and can see where the "change avatar" section is, but it won't let me click on it. Anyone??
Brand new here. I was just SO happy to see that it's not just me. When I mention to others that I have a fear of v*, they just look at me like I'm crazy...like, "well, who doesn't". No....this is...
