so, when a lot of people say they vomited, they said it wasn't so bad and that it only lasted a few seconds. well last March, a kid in my science class vomited in the back of the room near the labs, and I swear he was goin' non-stop for 5 f*ckin minutes straight! like, he started 5 min. b4 I even noticed it (yes, took me that long to notice....) and then still when the teacher sorta shoo'd us off outside afterwards. ugh just thinkin bout it still makes me ...shiver....ugh

How horrible for you!! I think all of us on here have had horrifying experiences similar to yours over the years.
I think to us when we see someone v*, it's almost like slow motion. When it seems like the person is v*ing forever, in reality it is only a minute or so. In our minds we see it as such an awful thing, so it's almost like time slows down.
I remember when I was at a casino with my (soon to be EX) husband in Florida this woman next to us at a slot machine started to v*, to me it seemed like it went on and on and on. My husband, who knows about my emet (although he's a jerk about it) insisted it was okay and it was over quick but I could swear to you it was endless.
I really do believe that in our minds it seems much more awful and long than it really and truly is.
Hope this helps and makes you feel a bit better!
