can you get sick from a toliet a sick person used...like lets say
someone with ehte sv* went poop or v* in the toliet....then i used
it..and when it flushes...can the germs be "sprayed" into the air...and
inhaled into me and make me sick??? because i get really nervous about
using public restrooms...but sometimes i cant help it at work i have to
do it..and it scares me every time i have to go. i flush with my foot,
and wash my hands good...i just wanted to know if that was a risk at
all???

Yeah, I was wondering about that too...

But I guess we are safe. I always turn my back to the toilet as I am flushing though.

ya I'm also totally wondering that....... Well let me tell ya something, I NEVER went poop in a public bathroom before (TMI.... sorry) ..... and even once when I went to school with an sv* I never made a stop for the bathroom. and I managed to avoid the bathrooms at school altogether since like....hmm.... at least 7th grade

This is Sage answering, but I'll ask Alvin later. I'm pretty sure by now that I know he will laugh and shake his head, and then say something like this: you worry too much!


I don't think if you stand over a toilet bowl and flush that anything sprays up and right into your mouth - I mean...what are the odds of that? I think you should worry more than being hit by lightning would make you vomit because that would be much more probable. People catch the virus from putting their contaminated hands in their mouths. You don't have to worry about just using a toilet. If it was spread that way, millions would be sick all the time.

Okay, I asked Alvin this question and he said just about the same as me..."I suppose it's remotely possible....if someone just was sick in the toilet that some spray might come up and infect you....I couldn't say it's impossible. But you'd have more chance of dying in a freak accident or winning the lottery than having that happen." (He actually liked my lightning example better - lol)
