I am sooo excited! I volunteered to go on my 5 year old daughter's field trip today. I am a teacher also, and usually HATE field trips where bus rides are involved. I have to drive separately and I am a wreck, for fear of kids getting s* on the bus. But, I hardly even worried about this trip, and had a great time. I didn't worry before, during, etc. It was great and I am so proud of myself. Yay!

Hey Julie! That is an awesome step! I rememer when I was in school I would dread going on field trips.. and it always seemed like we took LONG trips, about 2 hour bus rides each way.. I would be so scared that someone would get sick or that I would get sick. Big congrats to you for being so calm, that is a big step.

that's definetly something to be proud of....someone getting sick is the reason i won't go on any of my kids field trips...and it sucks so bad, because i would love the experience......good for you!!!

Hi there!!!!

Great job!! You should definitely be proud of yourself--like some of the other mommies on here I have yet to go on any of my son's field trips and I feel guilty as all hell about it. I cannot do the carpool thing either because one of my son's friends has a tendency to get s* on car rides. I can only imagine how embarassed my son would be to have his mom bolt out of the car (in front of all his friends!!) at the first sign of illness.
Very well done--I wish I had your strength!!

You guys are the most amazing support group that I have ever had! I
attribute much of my strength and success with this triumph to all of you!
I didn't even really mention how excited I was to anyone else, because to
be honest, no one wlse would really understand. Thanks guys!

Yes Julie!

I'm right there with you! I HATE trips on busses (due to 5 trips in a row with v* students!) I went on a field trip by myself with my class this week and managed to enjoy myself too! It feels good doesn't it?

Way to go!
