Hi everybody. I'm so happy to be in here. XhannahX found me on the neopet site. I'm a 20 girl who have emetophobia. And i never found nobody who have that since today! I have to say that i my english is really bad, i usually speak french, so if you don't understand what i write, i can repeat. Hum....I always tought i was a bit crazy because even my psy wasn't believing me when i was talking a bout my fears. My boyfriend always tell me that i create that fear to have attention but. it's true! Wow i'm so happy to have found people who are like me. I was sure that i couldn't be alone with this problem...[img]smileys/smilies_01.gif[/img]

I just found this site a couple days ago as well and it is like a whole new world for me, just knowing that when I start to have problems that other people are there too and they understand. I have also gotten negative reactions from others when I got up the courage to share my fears (even the psych I saw just told me I was depressed and that no one likes to throw up, so I'm no different). I still haven't told my husband, who I have been with five years and have child with. I know he knows that I tend to friek when people v*, but my daily fear and struggle I keep hidden. Anyways, enought about me, I'm glad we're both here, hope you find it as great as I have, everyone here is so super nice.

By the way, your english is fine... and I can't believe your boyfriend says you create the fear for attention! If you wanted attention, I'm sure you would have come up with something else! He should be more supportive. You can control it though, but you might not be able to do it alone.


I had a boyfriend who just didn't understand either. Maybe he thought the same way as your boy, but he never came out and said so. I am sorry he said that. Well, WE are your friends and WE will help you [img]smileys/smilies_04.gif[/img]
