Well if you bought it three days ago and it went off yesterday you can't really return it as technically it was within it's use by day when you bought it. I also wouldn't suggest eating it since it's after it's date. That's your choice but I wouldn't. Normally I don't suggest avoidance, and with anything else after it's use by date I'd mostly say go for it, but definately not with chicken. Too risky.

Hi there!!

If the chicken had been frozen right after you bought it, it would be fine. Frozen chicken stays good for quite awhile I believe. If it was just in the refridgerator, I would have to agree and suggest that you throw it away.
I hate having to waste food like that, but I also hate worrying for days afterwards if I'm going to get s*ck from it. Peace of mind is worth much more than chicken breasts!!!

I'm sure you can't exchange it because when you bought it, it still had a good date. Packaged meats usually are only good for about 2 to 3 days and then must be frozen. I'd just throw it away.

Will the shop exchange it? I wouldn't have thought so since it wasn't their fault that you didn't notice the date so they didn't do anything wrong.

was expired before...because the stores dont tend to care, they want
happy customers

Weird, I'd never even think of trying that, if my food expired it's my own fault lol
