Okay the other day I went to the store and brought my groceries home and put stuff away but I left the cheese out (It's shredded cheese in an unopened bag) I left it out for maybe 4 or 5 hours, in the kitchen where it's not particularly hot because there's no heater in there. Anyway I'm wondering if it's still good enough to eat or if I should toss it and get some more.

I guess it depends on the type of cheese. If it's a hard cheese, like cheddar, it might be OK. But if it's a soft cheese, like mozzarella, I'd throw it away. Either way, if it were me, I'd probably throw it away to be safe.
