    I was just wondering because Im from the US and I only knew one other emetophobe. It seems more common in the UK.

    I'm from the U.S. too. I think we had a discussion about this a while back, and it was because this site in particular is predominantly a UK site, in fact it was created by John, from the UK. It would be interesting to see if there was a real correllation though.

    I always thought this site was mostly people from the US - but that said it's a far bigger country. I don't think emetophobia has enough awareness in either country...

    I concure that there is not enough awareness of emetophobia. Anybody who i have told it to has asked me what that is, its interesting considering its the 5th most common phobia!

    I'm from the U.S. and eeb1017, you're right it's strange how emetophobia is the 5th most common phobia and nobody has ever heard of it.
