Hi Everyone, I am new here and have been reading the boards for the past few weeks. I was diagnosed with IBS in high school. I am now 28 years old. I am very afraid of v* and lately becoming more afraid of d* even though it's a constant symptom of my IBS. Must be that whole fear of losing control. Anyway, other IBS sufferers out there, do any of you feel that your IBS symptoms sometimes feellike you must have a sv* minus the v*? Because so often my stomach and intestines start churning and i feel so sick like I definitely have the sv* and then nothing else ever happens. I think I get so anxious and worked up about having d* that I start getting n* and expect it to progress into something worse. Today is one of those days...and Ijust can't get this idea of expecting the worst to happen out of my head. How can I feel so bad and not be sick? This is something I struggle with a lot. Anyone else ever feel like this?

I suffer from IBS as well as emet.

Over the last few years ive tried to come to terms with both, Im doing better on the IBS front. Like yesterday for example (sorry if TMI) i cam home from work for lunch, had some soup, read the news, then thought I will just pop to the toilet before gouing back to work, well whooooaaahhhh after 10 mins or so I thought im gonna have to ring my boss and say i cant come back, but after that I went back to work and was ok, (still tummy felt odd but i ewas ok)

The good thing there was I didnt feel sick,if i did, i wdnt have left the house. The emet thing Im still struggling with........badly

Sorry, I forgot to say Welcome to the site, Im sure you will find it a great help and source of reasurance when you need it.
