oh no now im worried

I was rushed getting into the car right now to get my bf to work, and
my purse of all gross things touched my teeth, and then i closed my
mouth and paniced. I spit and tried to "rub" my teeth off and now Im so
worrie that I will get sick. I always have my pruse on the ground at
work, and such, im so scared that I started bawling and my bf told me
not to worry that it takes a lot to get you sick and i didnt have that
much contact with it. Im so worried, do you think there is a chance????

Don't worry! Imagine how many times non emets do these types of things and never get sick. There is probably a better chance of you making yourself feel sick from worrying about it rather than from the purse actuallytouching your teeth. I made a turkey meatloaf about a month ago, and I was so afraid that it was undercooked that I worried myself sick for 3 days until I knew i was in the clear for salmonella or e. coli poisoning to appear. Imagine how much better I would've felt those 3 days if I was just able to put it out of my mind. You will be fine!!!!

Thanks..i do that too when I cook, infact i was so freaked out
halloween dinner that i made for my WHOLE family that i worried all
night and didnt sleep and i was the only one worried...

Yup! My husband was getting so mad at me that I would not stop obsessing about it. He gets annoyed every time we cook meat, because I pick it apart with my fork while I'm eating to make sure it's cooked through. But, really, I do think you will be fine with the purse situation. Especially since it just hit your teeth briefly. I know I would be freaking out too if it happened to me, but it's so much easier to rationalize a situation when you're removed from it. So, I know you will be a-ok

Well, I'm pretty sure the hydrogen peroxide would make you sick, so don't do that

You'll be OK, I've done stuff like that and completely freaked so it's understandable but really you do look at non emets who NEVER wash their hand (BLECK!) and theya re fine.

yeah...im still scared though...i remember once i tried to prove to my
ex that i wasnt crazy and i didnt wash my hands before eating and
like we were at the mall and i touched the doors...i was so freaked
out....
