I have a cold so my dad gave me a zine lozenge. However, I remembered hearing something about zinc causing v*ing if combined with citrus, I'm not sure if it's true but I did drink some limeade this morning. I tired telling myself that they wouldn't be able successfully to sell them if they made people v*. Especially people with colds who are litkely to be drinking orange juice. However, I got so freaked out that I just spat it out a couple minutes ago.

I've heard some of you talking about zinc lozenges before. Anyone had any nausea or worse from them?

I also just read that the main side effects of zinc lozenges are unpleasant taste and nausea. I have the unpleasant taste a little bit. How long before I know if I'm safe from the nausea?

I take zinc all the time...you have to eat food first or you will get a
tummy ache. And no it doenst taste good, so we eat a little afterwords
too. The zinc I have has orange juices in it...so I think thats
bs...all the zinc I have ever had are citrus flavored. But they do help
you get well sooner, because zinc bonds to your immune cells and boosts
them naturally, and they are relaly good for you. take them, any time
your sick as soon as you know you are getting a cold...i take a little
every day too...good luck. dont worry about it

Thanks...I did take it on an empty stomach. 8 hours empty actually, but it isn't too bad. I think a lot of it is from anxiety, so I'm eating some toast now. Hopefully, that will help.

I have had a little upset tummy from zinc, but never nausea or vomiting. It's good stuff. I don't know anything about taking it with citrus, but I am sure that I did considering when I have a cold I drink a crap load of OJ. Just take it with food, I am sure you will be okay.
