I was at the university health center today, and I ended up in line behind a woman who told the lady at the desk that she'd been v*ing since last night. When it was my turn I used my own pen instead of the communal one, and I filled out a form which I don't think the woman touched.

In the waiting room she sat down and fell asleep on her boyfriend's shoulder. I was too tense to sit, so I stood in the doorway. They referred me up to another floor pretty quickly, but I'm still worried.

I didn't touch my mouth, nose or eyes but I did touch my face a little, and I had a bottle of water which I was sipping on the whole time. I know that I don't know that she had sv, but if she did could I catch it from her that way?

Alvin the microbiologist says: It's impossible to catch a norovirus ("sv") that way. Not just 'unlikely'. So please don't spend another minute worrying!
