No, it's not just you. As far as I know, that link has never been functional.
The "old forums" are what existed before the site conversion a couple years back.
I'm guessing it's something the John was never able to make work, although if he gets bored one day, I really wish he'd have another go at it. I'd love to be able to take a trip down memory lane.

Ya - I think it worked for a while, but now it's not possible to access those old forums.
Was there anything in particular you were looking for? Were you a member back then under another name?
