Well, New Year's is creeping up. A few more days. I don't know about any of you, but I always try to make a list of some stuff I want to accomplish in the new year, if possible. Half the time I either forget about it or I fail, but not this time! Here's a list of some of mine:
    1.
Reach a 4.0 GPA.

Eat healthier (yeah right!).

Get my license (I failed the driving test TWICE!).

Quit WoW.

Rearrange my bedroom furniture and redecorate with new curtains and bed linens, etc.

Visit my grandmother in Washington state.

Cut back on the soda pop!

Be more independent.

Get Lasik surgery.

Start taking morning jogs/exercising daily.

    Share yours! =D

Welp I would like to get even more of a handle on this phobia (and the other anxieties that go right along with it). I am doing good, but I'd like to do better.

keep the weight that I lost OFF, maybe loose another 5 more.

keep working hard at my grades.

take a moment for myself everyday.

most of these things are not new years resolutions, but ones I've started already, so I dont think they will be hard to manage!

chemicalemotion ,where in Washington does your grandmother live in? I'm in Kent (suburb south of Seattle).

Anyway I'd LOVE to achieve a 4.0 GPA, although it's never happened. The closest I've ever been was last year in 8th grade w/ 3.83. I think I had like.... 5 A's and one B.

Here's my biggest goal: limit the time I spend on the internet to 5 hours a week.

    Eat together as a family.

    Exercise 3 times per week

Be a better role model for my daughter. She is 9 and already a worrier and suffers from emetophobia just like her mother.

Lose my annual 20 pounds I put back on.

Quit smoking before I try to get pregnant.

Maybe get pregnant---toward the end of '07, maybe.

Get back to my faith again.

I'm not a smoker, but for those of you on here that are, you should make it one of your priority resolutions. I mean, i usually don't have a problem w/ people who smoke. And i don't have a problem with any of you, but please, for your own good, TRY to quit, or at least cut down.

I was reading an article about emetophobia, v*, and all that stuff a few weeks ago, and i was actually surprised to hear that smoking and even inhaling second-hand smoke in small amounts can supress your immune system's ability to fight norovirus. That means, if you smoke, you have a higher change of contracting the norovirus.

My resolution is to become more involved in my yoga practice- venturing outside of the physical aspects and learning how to enrich my life through the more philosophical teachings of yoga. The way I see it is that if I can achieve this, it will take care of all of the other little things I would feel compelled to list such as getting rid of my anxiety, losing weight or doing well in school. The way I see it is through yoga, I can achieve all of this. At least I am hoping so.

To do better with money. I'm a serial shopper. I started Christmas shopping on Dec. 26th. I've clearly got issues. I started saving for a house and I want to stick to my budget this year.

I have a few "goals" for this year too...Like HDogg, I also want to quit smoking before I start trying to get pregnant (We are also considering towards the end of 2007 to get started. That's my big one...to quit smoking, It is sooo hard but I have done it before. I lost 20 pounds this last year and I would like to lose 10 more and just tone up more and get back to the gym and jogging...the excersise definately soothes my anxiety. I also want to work seriously on this phobia, I have made some good strides, but I have a long ways to go (alone with other general anxieties too.) I guess that is about it for this year...baby steps!!
We have got to be able to laugh at ourselves about this!!

    1. Stop swearing like a sailor
    2. Get my license

.I just want to feel safe in my own skin. I just want to be happy again. I just want to feel deep in my own world. But I’m so lonely I don’t even want to be with myself. <3

    1. Lose 20 more pounds.

    2. Stop the "associations"! (You know, like, I am scared to wear this shirt, eat this thing, etc etc because of you-know what!) I am starting that one tonight by eating at Burger King. Wish me luck.

    3. Save money!

    4. Be more positive and try to worry LESS!
