I get frequent google news updates emailed to me and this was in my email today. Just thought I would share! This is a story written by an emetophobe and posted in "The World Forum" --- (worldforum.org)

For those sensitive to certain words... **Certain words are not censored... you know what I mean**

That's my article and my blog.I hope you liked it. I purposely didn't censor 'those words' because the public wouldn't know what I meantif they sawn*, v*, or sv*.

I received a number of e-mails from non-emets about this article which is also posted on my blog at writersblock15.wordpress.com and fearsandphobias.blogpspot.com. All was favorable and most seemed interested as they had never heard of emetophobia before.

    Really?? How cool!

The words v*, d* etc do not bother me at all.

I personally didn't read it ALL because I didn't have the time when I checked my email... but I will!

Great article to outline the nature of the phobia.

But the "mothering" in me has to add: there's no need to fear being cured will make you less clean or more likely to get sick. First of all, you won't be less clean. Secondly, it won't matter if you're sick cuz you won't be afraid. It's important for everyone to remember that potential sickness is not the problem. Anxiety is the problem. Treatment helps you to live anxiety-free.

It's a bit like saying I'm afraid if I stop fearing cats I'll be bitten by a cat. You're no more likely to be bitten if you're anxious or if you're calm. But being anxious your whole life if a huge problem. One little cat bite some day in the future maybe ...is not a problem at all.
