If someone came up to you and offered you a million dollars to take some Ipecac and V* would you?

I'm so torn on this thought because being a broke college student 1 million would be amazing. But having to do that I dont know if I could bring myself to do it.

Let me know what you guys think,

Danielle

Danielle, see this poll here: http://www.emetophobia.org/forum/for...sp?TID=8941&PN =1

Yes, I would take ipecac for a million. Maybe even for a thousand. I know people who have done it for nothing. And some people who were forced to take ipecac by someone.

A few years ago I would have said NO WAY.

A few years ago I would have said I'd rather die than v*.

But now I think I would do it. I would probably hesitate...but umm...the million dollars...yeah.

Hell yeah I'd do it! Maybe we should all just tell ourselves that if it's going to happen we will get a million dollars and maybe we won't be so freaked out all the time!

1 million dollars?
...unlikely.
I think I'd need a lot more than that.

Hell yeah I would. That's enough to buy a house and all I have to do is throw up? Right, show me who is paying for this?

for $10 million maybe... but if i really wanted $1 million, all i'd have to
do is sell my house, it's really not that much money, definitely not
enough to v* for. lol

Oh, absolutely. If I know I'm going to throw up it's nowhere near as bad as the worrying and waiting to find out. It's still BAD... but worth a million dollars, sure.

Yes indeedy! It might just cure me - and if it doesn't, it can pay for therapy! Just kidding.

But seriously, it's good to put it in perspective like that. I agree with you, thegoldsky - the not knowing if or when is perhaps the worst part for me.

Yeah, I'd do it. But I'd think twice before watching anyone doing it for the same amount...

I used to be like that, too. NEVER would have watched someone for $1M!

Now I'd do either!

I think I would do it.

If you think about it, the chances are that you're either going to have to t* u* yourself, or watch someone else do it (or both) at LEAST once in your life. If it's going to happen anyways, why not get paid for it?

Plus, ipecac, if used correctly, doesn't involve the HOURS of n* that usually precedes v* for me.

I've also made myself watch ipecac videos on youtube. Horrible, but it helps for me to do it in a manner where I'm not actually WITH the v*er. It can't touch me, I don't have to clean it up, I don't have to worry about it... for the most part. :-P
Normalcy is merely indicative of a lack of courage.

My first thought is NO WAY, but the more I think about it, I could possibly
consider it for a million bucks. Would take some deep thought, though.
There was a time in my life where I knew that if my doctor told me I was
dying, but that this shot or medicine would cure me but the medicine would
make me sick, I wouldn't take it. I might rethink that now, too.....
