I was born ten weeks prematurely and, naturally, had to have all kinds of tubes and needles stuck into me as soon as possible. The doctors tried to put a feeding tube down my throat but it got caught, simply because I was so small, and I was diagnosed with an oesophageal (sp.?) atresia (a dead end where the oesophagus doesn't actually connect to the stomach). Upon cutting me open to fix the atresia, the doctors found there was nothing wrong and they'd just been too rough in inserting the tube. Until very recently I had a fear of swallowing tablets that weren't crushed up or at least cut into quarters, and I still have emet. I don't remember any other unpleasant v*ing incidents from when I was young, that is, I never had a major stomach virus or anything. Anxiety disorders and depression run in my family, but I'm the only emet. Could my experiences as a one-day-old prem be the cause?
