I'm new, guys. Thanks for listening. I'm stuck in the pit - triumph only happens when the family is healthy. It's tummy flu season in Akron, OH, and so far, my sis's kids, my sis's spouse and my dad had it. Then my dad gave it to my son for his birthday (nice, thanks dad). I feel haunted. If a doc told my me there was a shot he could give us that would keep me, jason and jacob puke-free forever, I'd take it and force it on my family, whatever the consequences. So many here seem to be improving - I'm getting worse and worse. What can I do? I have no health insurance to see a specialist, and I live in constant fear of illness. I don't know what to do. Can anyone offer advice?

So are your kids sick at the moment? I know what you mean by feelinghaunted. It's like the thing is always lurking and you never know when it's going to hit. I would LOVE it if there was a shot or something that would prevent v*ing. I'd be first in line.

Sorry you're going through a rough patch. You can certainly come here and post and read and get support, this site has made my life so different. I am seeing a therapist but I honestly think coming on here and reading that there are others who understand me has made an even bigger impact on my being able to be a little bit more towards "normal". We're here for you whenever you need. The old forums had really good posts that would help you. You get to those on the left of the screen. Let us know how you're doing! Take care.
In memory of the sweetest german shepherd I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I love you, Duncan. 3/12/02 - 12/19/11

    2Jo:

Yes, my tot is ill right now. I'm in "escape mode" at school right now - have a class in half an hour. He spent all afternoon v*ing into his Easter basket (the poor little soul) and he knows how upset it made me. He looks up and says "I'm sorry, Mommy. I'm ok." I refuse to let him close to me, nor my husband, who is holding and caring for Jacob in my absence. It seems I only feel 'normal' when the weather is warm an no one is sick. Otherwise, I would almost rather die than deal with this! I know - pathetic. Talking to you guys makes me feel a little better, though, since I can do something other than pace and worry. Thanks for listening.

P.S. Love your dog pic. Is that a white shepherd? My mom has two. I have a black lab and a fuzzy yellow mutt. Dogs are the best. They never get us sick!

Awww bless! You have wonderful kids! Firstly: Welcome! How did you find us? Secondly I completely agree with your shot idea, it should be administered to every baby at birth! But what if you were poisoned or something, how would you get rid of it?
