My 8 month old v* 5 times today. The only one other time he did this was when he was 4 months old, due to giving him regular formula, when he is used to only breastmilk. Well, today he had baby yogurt made with whole milk (cows milk) and started to v* about 2 hours after that. do you think its from the yogurt? or something else, i'm hoping its just a sensitivity to the milk, or else i might freak...

I'm moving this thread out of "success stories" (for obvious reasons)

Be sure to keep careful watch on the baby that he doesn't get dehydrated. Which they can do VERY quickly at this age. That's a lot of times to vomit for a baby...it could be the yogurt, but it could also be something else. Whatever it is, his own health is your #1 priority. If it's hard for you to handle (and we can all empathize with that) then call up a relative, friend, or the dad to come help you. If he can't keep anything down I'd suggest you get him to a hospital emergency room asap.
    Good luck!

Thank you. He has not done it again since 4:30 and is eating fine again. I have been giving him only breastmilk though. He is fine. I think it was definately the yogurt.

You poor thing. Its the hardest thing in the world being an emet-Mum, because you can't just run away. Breastmilk is WONDERFUL. I breastfed my 1st for 2 1/2 years and still feeding number 2 at just over 2years. Unless bub is in day care or socialising with other kids, its unlikely that he is ill. My daughter didn't handle dairy at all. I would leave the dairy out of the diet for a week and then reintroduce a bit to see what happens. Good Luck.

Oh I'm so glad! Sounds like he can't handle cow's milk at all. I had a kid like that - one sip of it and she'd be sick. I never gave her yogurt or anything. I used to whirl up dessert tofu in the blender and mix it with instant pudding mix I remember (this "baby" is 24 now - lol)

Glad you made it through ok.
    Take care
