It's not "ew", it's just different than us. From what I've heard, a great deal of shame comes with this fetish. It must be a terrible feeling to be turned on by something taboo.

ditto what new.slang said. it's not "ew" at all. a lot of emetophiliacs are
really ashamed of their fetish. just like emetophobia, it's not something
that's understood. as emetophobics, we're at one end of the spectrum,
and emetophiliacs are at the other. both begin as some sort of
obsession with v*, we're really not that different lol

It's probably 'ew' to more people than not, but I will say it's like two sides of the same coin. I remember before I was an emetophobe - when I was about 6 or 7 I used to have this weird fascination with people v*. Every time a kid at school threw up I'd have to have a look - I found it a bit of a spectacle!

Don't know why it changed so dramatically but I'd definitely rather be emetophiliac - it would be a great help when my friends get ill!

It makes sense that there is a polar opposite of us. Yes there was a thread about emetophillia and yes it was closed someone was brave enough to say they had it and they got jumped on, so I imagine it did in fact get closed. What;s really strange is that some emetophilliacs are also emetophobes.

It was the first non-pornographic film, (that I have found,) seeming to cater to the philia.

Safe? V* is a bad thing, bad for your body, unpleasant etc. I think that's why this phobia is tough, its very nasty and most people avoid it anyway. If we were afraid of something more common and not "bad" it would be easier to do more hardcore exposure therapy. But I can hardly believe emetophilia is for real, I guess we can thank Howard Stern for bringing it out into the open for better or worse.
