I am finally ready to be rid of this phobia. I can't afford therapy becuase we have no insurance and lived on a fixed budget. Can I help myself at home? I have overcome panic attacks in the past by reading books. Where can I start reading on the internet to help myself? I don't know about the EMDR because I do have an inner ear disorder and my balance is really bad. I want to be over this. It's ruining my life!

If you really can't afford therapy (i.e., it's not just a matter of priorities) then you can try to do some gradual desensitization on your own. Go to my website and follow the links.
PM me or email me if you run into trouble, or if there's any question I can answer for you.
    Good luck!
