I'm sorta obsessed with vomit and I like to hear other people's stories of how
they got emet and other traumatizing encounters.

I know there is a forum like this but it hasn't been posted on months. I
would rather hear the stories that happen to people I know better.

**This is probably not the best place for weak emets**

I'll go first (read next post)

    WARNING: GRAPHIC

Every incident before my first emet experience is a blurr.

I got emetophobia when I was six years old. The summer going into first
grade. Both of my parents work so I went to the YMCA for day camp three
times a week. I didn't mind it since I had friends there and the councilers
were very nice. I had "boyfriend" named Nathan. He was my best friend at
the Y. One day he said he threw up the day before. Being a non-emet I
didn't worry and just kind of shrugged it off. After lunch he felt sick. He
then lay down of the couch. I told him to get up so we could play he said
that he felt too sick to play. I was rather annoyed. I didn't dawn on we
that he might throw up. I soon got bored of sitting next to him so I got up
to pet the class bunny. I glanced over at Nathan. He suddenly sat up and
put his hand over his mouth. Vomit then shot through his fingers onto
the carpet. i was horrified. I couldn't sleep all night. This was the grand
start to my emetophobia.Edited by: sage

i have always been terrified of hearing it when i was a child. I never really fought it though....when i had my tonsils out when i was 11......it put me in a full phobia mode.

Hi, my name is Dara and this is my first post on this forum, after weeks of
    just browsing...

I am seventeen years old (turning 18 on December 23!) senior in
highschool, and I can remember being emetaphobic since I was in the
first grade. I was 7 and was at my grandmother's house and I can recall
not feeling well, but not making a big deal out of it...because i really
wanted to go to the toy store. My grandma kept on telling me that I didnt
look well and when i finally convinced her to take me to the toy store we
stepped outside and i v* on her porch. She took me back inside and I got
sick in the bathroom two more times. My parents came to pick me up and
i ended up also getting sick in my dad's old truck three more times. I
remember though, when i got home i felt pretty okay. My parents, brother
and I were in the living room and they set me on the floor with a towel
just incase, but nothing happened. I even remembered pretending like i
was going to get sick....just to be funny.

This was the last and only second time I have ever v* in my life. I dont
remember this act to be that traumatizing... but after that when kids
would get sick at school, or on the bus, i was always in a full panic mode.

I feel this is because I have always been a control freak...and I remember
that v*ing always made me feel like i wasnt in control of my body. This is
why after two years of too much partying ... i no longer drink or do
drugs. I still smoke though. God love those cigarettes during panic
attacks.Anyways this probably also alludes to why it makes me n*
when other people get sick around me...its not only repulsive...but I cant
control how they feel or what they do and I often feel trapped.
