My dad contracted a stomach bug from his parents in a short visit on Saturday. He v****** this morning, and my mom told me when I woke up. I've been hiding in my bedroom all day.
All I ate was one medium/large-sized hard boiled egg at around noon. It's obviously digested by now. I'm sipping regular Coca-Cola over ice at five minute intervals. I am not planning to eat anything else.
I am not worried that I will contract the bug from him, because I'm fine with extreme nausea, as I have it most of the time, but I am NOT very excited about throwing up. If I don't eat and sip the Coca-Cola, how high are the chances of being sick?
I actually do believe I have it, as I am very nauseous and was openly exposed to him yesterday. Actually, yesterday I felt extremely sick as well.
Do you think I already have the sickness and I should be able to go downstairs? I'm comfortable enough up here, but it's dark... D=

The only way to catch it from him is by not washing your hands before you put them in your mouth. You don't have to hide in your room!

And not eating won't help. If you do get sick, sometimes throwing up less food is WORSE, in fact. You should be able to eat normally, but eat lightly as your anxiety could make you feel nauseous.

    Good luck!
