Hey, I was just wondering how many of you have been able to own up to this phobia and tell someone because I still havn't been able to.Edited by: xxkatexx

Pretty much every one that knows me knows about my fear. Some people make jokes and poke fun at me and I have a few people that protect me from it. If it comes on TV or something my BF will cover my eyes or tell me not to look.
Don't feel like you have to hide it from people. They are lots more understanding then you might think.
I tell everyone ... it was the topic of discussion in one of my classes a few weeks ago. I've never been ashamed or embarrassed by it. I'd rather people know if anything so they know what to expect if anything happens.
The waiting seems eternity
a day will dawn of sanity.
Yep, I pretty much tell everyone. Most people are very supportive.
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."
The only people who I have explicitly told are my boyfriend and a select few of my closest friends. There are a few others (like my roommate, for example) who I have revealed enough of my habits and anxieties to that they probably suspect that I have emet, or at least some type of anxiety/phobia problem.
