How do you know EXACTLY when your lunch meat or anything else has gone bad? I mean, does it just go bad all at once, how can it be good one day and bad the next? How do you know if you're eating it right as it's starting to turn bad? I have always wondered this and it's the reason I don't really like eating lunch meat but I'm craving some right now!

It's my own personal thought, that is goes bad gradually and gets worse
over time if it is spoiling, and with rotten food you can tell, trust me! I have
gotten a mouthful of yuck before, and I knew. I swallowed a bit, but lived.
Sooooo, eat the lunch meat! Good stuff indeed eh?
    Life is so worth living.

At the top of Q&A I moved a sticky post from a while ago on food spoilage/safety. Check it out - it's HILARIOUS! (Oh ya - and today, I included the link from above too - which is why I moved it.)

We could all use some humour.
