I had a really bad panic attack at work today. They started happening
three and a half years ago, but I've only had 3 super bad ones, including
today. Ugh, it was horrible. It happened around 6 and I was there till 11. I
was lucky that everyone was watchhing the big hockey game tonight, I
didn't have a single customer in the two hours that it happened. I'm still
shaky from it, and feel like crap.
How do you stop this??!

Yeah, they're horrible. I'm still trying to get over the one I had last night, I
think it was the worst yet. Ugh.

BTW: Thanks, Lizzie! I started that website early March with a friend I
woork with at the video store. We figured that since we watched movies
all the time, we might as well put our writing skills to use by telling
people about them. If you want, you can send in a review, just use the
form on the site.

Alli,

Sorry about the bad panic attacks at work! They just seem to happen at the most inconvienient times, and in the most inappropriate places!! I am glad to hear you got through it though!! I hate the after effects of a panic attack (besides the relief that it's over and I'm still alive with no v*part)almost as much as the panic attack itself.

No problem.
It reminded me that I need to do some more reviews, which will certainly
get my mind off yesterday. Glad you're interested in writing some for the
site, it's really needing some more!

I'm so glad I found this site, it makes me feel so much better. Before,
when I had a panic attack, I'd be terrified cause I didn't know what it was,
and my doctor wasn't much help either. I described all the symptoms, but
he didn't know what it was! It's really nice to be in a place where people
know how you feel. Thanks, guys!

I hope you are feeling better now. Maybe you could try some relaxation techniques to help you stay calm whilst you're in the shop?

Guys: Go to the "Treatments" thread and check out the sticky topic on top on how to handle panic attacks. Soluene provided this great link.
