So this isn't the first time this happens to me but it scares me beyond belief. I'm on day 3 of really barely eating and last night I was suffering, I guess from an empty stomach and only fell asleep at 2 this morning, and I was up at 5 to go to work. Driving in, I started feeling the pain in my stomach but not the normal hunger pains, the pains where you think your stomach is being ripped apart, and you feel like you could v* and food is not apealing.

I did this to myself over 2 years ago, and I panicked like mad and I was at home. Now I'm at work experiencing this and I am trying to keep calm, the tears are pouring but I haven't left yet. Instead I made myself a toast and am eating it slowly, and surprisingly the pains are leaving, but I hardly doubt that one piece of toast can possibly erase the 3 days, so I know its going to hit me again, and again I don't want to leave work, I missed one day this week already, but I am afraid this will end up beating me.

Has anyone ever gone through this, I know that Jenneh was going through something like this, but I don't recall if she was feeling this way or she was just weak and faint.

I'd love to hear your stories.

I'm so sorry you are going thru this! I have been somewhat similar. When I was 20 that year sucked! I lost lots of weight because I just couldn't eat! I'd have panic attacks at dinner time, not be able to sleep etc etc. You are smart to start off small w/ the toast. Since it is helping I would guess it was hunger causing your stomach pains. I remember I'd be hungry then after hunger comes nausea, it's like you're nauseous because you're hungry but don't want to eat cuz you're nauseous. How messed up is that?! Since you have been thru this before in a way I think that is good because you know you can get thru it and know you can get thru w/o v*ing. Just keep plugging away like youa re doing. My aunt used to tell me to drink breakfast shakes to at least get my vitamins when I went thru this 6 or 7 yrs ago, at least that you are still "healthy" as far as getting what you need. Another good food is mashed potatoes, if I feel off somehow I feel "safe" eating those. Anyhow, I hope that this helps you and that you are doing better soon!

Yes.. I did this for about a year or so. During this time I had chronic stomach pain (probably from starvation) And no, it did not feel like hunger. I actually felt full. I told people I could not eat because for some reason I was already full and to eat, I thought would make me sick. I don't think there was anything that anyone could have said to me at that time that would have made me eat. I had it in my head that 1. food made me sick and 2.If I didn't eat there would be nothing for me to throw up.

What I learned from this. 1. You can totally get sick even if there is no food in you because there is always bile and acid in you. 2. Bile and acid hurts much more than food to get sick on. AND 3.After f***ing your metabolism up so bad from not eating, once you do your body wants to hold on to any bit of fat it can, so weight loss is really hard.

I would also like to add that for me anyway.. little sleep and stress always comes with an awfull yukky tummy ache.

Just try to eat more. Eat little bits throughout the day and take your time. Maybe go get a smoothie or something. Or just some yogurt would be great for your stomach.

You poor thing. I hate it. When Im scared I dont eat, but I havent had pains.

I eat "Luna Bar" by Clif bar, they have lots of vitamins.. i munch on
those on days that I simply cannot eat meals out of fear. Even if it
takes hours to eat one bar.

Ok so in total today I ate 2 pieces of toast, some soda crackers and a whole 6" subway sandwich, turkey!!!

This morning when the pain was so awful, I promised myself that I would force myself to eat a sub, because they are light and pretty good, and I did it.

Consequence, I don't know if its the sub, or being very tired, or being so nervous but my stomach hurts again, and I feel like I could d*, but I'm going to try to avoid going, I'd rather go in the morning.

    Thanks for your stories!

youve gotta eat something babe - i know its hard - but just force yourself to eat something - even if its really really little.

im going thro this as we speak - i havent eaten properly for two days now and last night i had some chicken and rice - i had two tiny pieces and my boyfriend ate the rest - about 10 pieces in all! bless him, he was stuffed eating all mine too! lol.

ive eaten some more chicken, mushroom and rice today - but i just feel so yuck after eating and feel like im gonna have d* - i just dont know what to do really. and i guess i havent really got any good advice at the mo - except just try so hard to eat a little bit - otherwise the pains will get worse and u will feel sick thro hunger...

Yeah this happens to me aswell, I find that if I dont eat for 1 or 2 days it actually becomes harder to eat, i feel my throat close up and I just dont fancy food. It also makes my stomach hurt so much and I feel pretty rubbish!

I think the main thing is just to sit down and make yourself eat something slowly, then gradually you start to feel a bit better.

Can I ask if the reason you find it hard to eat is because you're so scared of v*? I often find the days I eat least are the days when I have a lot to do exams etc and I dont want to v*

    Hope this helps............</TD></TR>

No I have major problems with my difestive system and every so ofetn it acts up, right now seems to be the worst, I have to ingest so little because after 2 hours of that itty bitty food, I have indigestion, water gives me indigestion too now. I have no idea what to do, I am seeing my stomach specialist only in 2 weeks, maybe he can help me out a little.

I am starving and a little dizzy and I am craving food, but its my digestive telling me no because I know what will happen if I eat what I really want, which is just food. So that sucks alot.

I'm going through almost the exact same thing as you. I got diarrhea and thought i had a stomach flu, so i avoided eating or drinking for almost two days. My stomach is now in knots, im hungry but terrified to eat. But today i had toast twice, a fruit cup, and 6 chicken nuggets and it gave me diarrhea cramps so then i panic thinking "omg the food is gonna make me sick" i just broke down crying cause its so scary and difficul to overcome this. But my advice to you is EAT.. Just gradually put food in your stomach. It may hurt at first (diarrhea, gas, indigestion) but thats only because your stomach isnt used to food, you have to eat and adapt to food again. And the longer you go without food, the worse it'll get. I promise you'll be fine as long as you eat! Starvation can cause havac on the body, it can cause tons of stomach pains. But i promise it does not mean you'll get sick. Stay strong and we'll get through this! (:
