The first time i ever told the doc about my phobia years ago, she put me on Paxil but also recommended i try yoga. I never did; i didn't know much about it and was skeptical. now that i'm in college i've decided to try it; if anything at least it'll be helpful with stress over my studies, right? Just wondering if any of you havefound comfortin yoga/medidation, or other relaxation techniques? Edited by: redapple

Haha, actually my mom is a yoga teacher! so i do know a little something about it.

Basically, the ways you do certain yoga poses help relax you. You go inside yourself and relax very deeply, and this helps you relax and hopefully get rid of fears. It also helps A LOT with stress. Meditation is basically the same thing, but my mom doesn't do meditation so I'm not quite as sure about that. In either case, if you wanna do them you should take a yoga or meditation class.

oh and yes, i do find it helpful!

Hey there, I have tried yoga but havent found anything that really clicks with me. I do meditate every day and I love it. it helps to relax me and feel more in control of my life and what stresses me out.

I heard that yoga is a form of meditation, that you can reach the alpha state through yoga?
