    Hey Everyone...

Just a quick note to let you know the magazine U.S. News and World Report has a cover story about about phobias! And Believe it or not the fear is vomiting if briefly mentioned!!

I'll have to finish reading the article to find out more but I was so excited to see we were not overlooked that I wanted to post real fast lol!

Hope everyone is doing well I will post some more details from the article later on.

I didnt read anything about vomiting? All I saw was that some girl was afraid to go to school because she was scared she'd vomit or blush. Thanks for sharing!!

That's a great article. I'll print it off and keep it - it might even be good to have it available on the site. I especially like how positive it is, when it comes to treatment and the number of people being treated. It's so true.

The problem with hanging around on this site for long periods of time is that one might get the idea that nobody gets better, or that I personally am some sort of miracle. Actually, hundreds of people are treated for emetophobia all the time. Treatment can be a bit tricky, but it's possible. [Oh yes - and it doesn't involve actually vomiting!] The article is good, because it emphasizes that it's the fear you need to get rid of, not the feared thing. I like that.

    Thanks again, Kris, for this.

You are so welcome Sage. I finally sat down and finished reading it last night and I was so glad I did!! I think you are absolutely right in sayingit's refreshing to know people are working to help phobic people with the fear itself instead of what it is thats causes the fear.

    I was happy to share!

    Take care

    Kris
