So... so far the general consensus seems to be, do somethin in the summer, say early august... n since most ppl seem to be in the south/ midlands, I was thinkin we could organise somethinsomewhere in the lower end of the midlands, maybe somewhere like northampton?

So if ya are interested, tell us where ya at, how far ya can travel, n most important of all, what you wanna/ would be prepared to do on a meet? (n if theres nethin in particular that ya wouldnt) Sorry if this is repetition, but ppl were mostly only puttin where they actually were on the last thread, n need to know how far ppl can/ are prepared to travel to pick a place, n also what yaz wanna do so we can find someplace where they have it!

I got loads of random ideas for activities, but most of them probly wouldnt appeal to a lot of ppl. how bout- go karts? swimming? arcades? pub meet? picnic? cinema? music event/ gig? laser quest? fairground? ice skating?

Hi! I am the American that hopes to crash this party! I am looking at fares right now to come visit the UK in August....the first two weeks or so. I am pretty unlimited in what I will do or how far I will travel! So, I am up for anything! Can't wait to meet you all!

I'm in London and would be ok to travel about 2 hours by train I guess. I'm not too great with travelling but will have a go!!

I didnt really think about what we would do!!! I guess nothing too strenuous! But doing some kind of emet friendly activity would be quite good cause it could be quite intimidating sitting in a room full of almost strangers!!! Who knows!

I think a picnic is a good idea
a - coz we can be outside
b - people can bring there own lunch and dont hav to worry abt food poisoning

a pub prob isnt the best emet meet - im ok with that!! but others might not be.

why doesnt every one just put a yes or no next to the following list and then we can take a majority or something....????
go karts - not very social so id say no
swimming - i cant swim so no
arcades - poss
pub meet - yes
cafe / restaurant meet - yes
picnic in a park - YES
cinema - not social - no
music event/ gig - again not social - no (although i personally LOVE gigs!)
laser quest - no
fairground - no - hate them!
ice skating - love ice skating but again not very sociable.
a day at the beach(!!) - just coz i live in weston super mare - but we could go to another beach thats convenient for all- laze about - go to the pier - have some lunch etc etc etc??

All the more activity things could be done for example if a meet was a more regular thing - but i dont know abt you guys but i quite wanna meet and chat to you all properly at the mo!

emmmssss

I'm up for anything too although I think restaurants or picnics are more sociable and give people more opportunities to chat. Although, I appreciate that might be a problem for some people. Ooh theres so many things we could do!!

I think we'l end up in a park or somewhere like that!! The problem with parks is that we ight not be able to find eachother! Especially if we dont know the park! lol. It will be hard, meeting everyone and i'm sure we'l have a few moments of silence but it would be a great experiance!!! I'm lloking forward to whenever we meet!

I don't know anywhere in the midlands, but i'll fire up Google and have a see what I can find.

As for finding eachother, I suggest all those attending the meet exchange mobile numbers nearer the time. That way we can phone eachother there and find everyone kinda thing.
