Needing some reassurance guys! Earlier me and my
husband had some dinner, nothing strange or new. We then went for
a lie down cos we were both really tired. After about half hour
dh mumbled he needed his phone and went downstairs. After 5 mins
he hadn't come back so i went to see where he was. He said he had
just been sick! OMG! He now says he feels fine and has gone
to sleep. I did quiz him (as we emets do!!) and he said he just
felt a bit ill. I am now trying to work out a) why he was sick in
the first place and b) am i going to be next! He has been
drinking beer this afternoon but not loads and he ate his dinner really
fast. Could it be that? A combination of alcohol and
drinking too fast. I can cope if thats what the problem
was. Have almost convinced myself its not a bug as he is feeling
fine now and was before. AAAAAAAAARGH I hate having emet!!!!!!!

Sorry its a bit long!

My husband always has mixed reactions to beer, sometimes he has it and says it tastes good, other times it gives him an instant headache and yuck feeling. That combined with eating supper fast and then lying down could have done it.

If he says he feels fine now then probably something just didn't agree with him. I hope he stays ok and same with you!

yes it's quite possible that tha'ts what made him sick. remember he is not phobic if he has a bit of a stomach yucky feeling he'll just v* and not care. we are the ones that it takes a bug to make us throw up (knock on wood)
let us know!

i dont think it helps that some people eat sooooo quickly. so it cld be that he ate too quickly and the beer - sometimes the fizz can make my guy feel sick and bloated.

i doubt it is a bug or something coz hed prob have the runs/tummy ache - ie more symptoms.

take care and get a good nights sleep!

Thanks for the reassurance. He is up and about
again now and feeling fine apart from a bit of a headache (beer related
methinks). He isn't pale
or feeling ill at all and there are no other symptoms so i'm fairly
sure its not a bug. Phew! He has eaten again and it has all
stayed down so i think it was just overeating quickly. Feeling
better now about it. Amazes me how it doesn't bother him when he
is sick though. Just did the deed then fell back to sleep!!
So glad i have this website to turn to . </font>

were that easy for me. T o get right back up again. I
wouldn't have eaten for days!!! I always say I wish I were like
my cat...she can't keep anything down. But goes right back to
playing and eating.

Sounds like he had a little too much to drink. He should eat first than drink, not the other way around. No worries.

What's that like? to have a cat who is sick like that all the time? I remember I once saw a cat cough up a hair ball and I thought I was going to be sick. How pathetic is that? I can't even handle a cat coughing up a hairball? lol.

Yeah, beer is one of those things that agree with people one day, and not the next. That was the way it was with my ex. Maybe he drank more than you/he thought? Glad he is doing better now! Charlotte

I have an old cat who is sick about once a week but I have no problem with that because it's not contagious. Last spring she had a kidney infection and puked about 10 times during a day and I just followed her with a towel in my hand and talked to her calmly; I think she also is an emet 'cos she cries very loudly and fearfully just before she pukes. I don't have a problem with animals getting sick for some reason. And I have emet where I'm much more phobic about others being sick. There was one time just recently when my dog had an accident in his kennel and we had to bring him and give him a bath to clean him up. He must've drank a bunch of soapy water or something, because when we came home, he didn't look right. I put him outside and he immediately went out and projectile v*d!!!!!!!!!!!! I got super queasy and couldn't go near him the rest of the night, I think it just looked too much like a person. That was one of the only times I was put off by him doing it. We have 2 dogs and a cat and one or another is getting sick all the time. Maybe you get used to it??? Probably like flying finn said, I can't catch it.
